The iPad can be easily moved from one activity to another with no teacher preparation beyond initial programming of the device.For this reason,the instructors in this study preffered using the iPad over picture system.

The results from this study demonstrate that CAI can be used to improve subtraction skills in elementary students with disabilities. The results also support the use of new technologies such as the Apple iPod Touch as an assistive technology device that can be used effectively to support learning.

The results so far are encouraging, with evidence that activities with our applications can lead to pro-social behavior, enabling children with ASD to enjoy social activities, develop appropriate social skills and express themselves. We hope this work inspires others to continue making use of tablets and other novel technologies to support and encourage face-to-face social activities for children with ASD.

Since all the students in this study had difficulty initiating and maintaining attention,the students benefited from a prompt that provided extended time for students to focus and obtain the essential information of the pictorial prompt.
