This is what happend........
My wife and I, wanted to migrate to New Zealand and decided to apply for the permanent residency.
We chose William BRENNER of the SELWYN and Associates as our immigration consultant.
Their instalement was by three stages,
(1) NZ$700 initally,
(2) NZ$2,000 to lodge the application to NZIS, and
(3) NZ$1,100, when NZIS approved our permanent residency.
We sent all the application documents and NZ$2,700 to William BRENNER. It was June 1998.
BRENNER notified us that he lodged our application on June.
We waited, believing his words that our application would be approved without any problem.
During this period, we kept asking him to check the status of the application.
He always answered that NZIS said it was under processing....
March 1999, it was tenth months, we found we could not get thought to BRENNER.
I tried to call his office in Auckland for one hundred times, but nobody picked it up.
We called NZIS to check the status of our apllication.
THEIR ANSWER WAS THAT THERE WAS NO APPLICATION LODGED BY OUR NAMES.
NZIS found that we entered to NZ in the past but there was no record of the application by the same name.
Apparently it was never lodged.
April 1999, we terminated the contract with William BRENNER and decided to lodge the new application.
We asked for legal assisstance and finally I could get thought to BRENNER. He agreed to return our documents. Some of them were already expired or lost.
We filed our application by ourselves and finally obtained the permanent residency this month.
Then, William BRENNER, came to know it and
Suprisingly sent us the invoice asking the final payment of $1100.
I refused to pay it.
Now, last week William BRENNER sent this mail to us.
This is the e-mail William BRENNER sent to us on Saturday, 28th of August, about Four months after we terminated our contract with us.
As you have not answered my request for payment of the balance
of the fees, on Monday I will be forced to lodge your name with
a credit collection
