| Morphology: | ●Big swallowtail butterfly, about 9 to-10 cm when fully extended. ●Black front wing. ●Big central white spot on its rear wing. ●Eye-catching protracted tail with several U-shaped red marks. ●Two veins penetrating the protracted part of the rear wing. |
| Life Cycle: |
1.Egg Stage: –lasts 5 to 6 days –yellowish egg sizing 1mm in diameter 2.Caterpillar Stage: –lasts 30 to 35 days –can be divided into 5 instars (Stage in the life of an insect's larva or nymph) 3.Pupa Stage: –lasts 7 months –looks like a twig branching from a tree 4.Adult Butterfly: –distributed in mountains of the altitudes of 1000 to-2000 meters of northern and central Taiwan. |
