Canadian Senior Care Systems

Many seniors in Canada seem to be active. They wear colorful and fashionable clothes and seem to enjoy their life. Now I am volunteering a senior care center in Canada. When I visited it at the first time, I was very surprised to see seniors singing with smiling. I thought that they must lead happy senior life. I noticed that seniors are not always passive and unhappy.

NCOA (The National Council on the Aging) & International Longevity Center investigated into more than 3000 people who live in the U.S without thinking of their age (2002) .They asked them if they live to 90 years old, it sounds happy or not. NCOA & International Longevity Center concluded that although there remain negative images to be older, more than 84% of the people said "yes". It means that people think that they will be able to lead happy senior life in the US
