These days, more and more people live to a great age in many developed countries.

You will also be a senior sooner or later.

Do you want to be a senior?

If you will be able to a great age, will you be happy?

World wide view of senior care systems

If the world were a village of 100 people, 7 people out of 100 would be seniors whose age is more than 65 years old (Smith C Douglas,2002).

The 7 seniors seem to be in each different situation. They seem to belong to different countries and cultures. Their situation must make their health condition and senior care systems diverse. For example, "Chinese-Canadian senior citizens are more likely to have health problems and suffer from depression than other seniors, a new study has found." (Vancouver Sun, Thursday, January 16, 2003) According to this article, many Chinese-Canadian seniors do not make full use of the medical system because of their language barriers. This article made me notice that one country has several cultures and people. It is not enough to look up only each country's guidelines for senior care systems.

The number of people living to a great age has been increasing in many developed countries. Each country has its own health care conditions and senior care systems.
