ジュウシマツのボディーに
①キンパラの柄を乗せる（難）
②黒色素を取り除く（易）

考え方：
キンパラの柄をを移入
クリームイノにする
遺伝子：
キンパラの「柄」遺伝子を
ジュウシマツ上でホモ結合
（染色体上の茶メラニン生成に関する
塩基部分をクロアミメ型で
２本ともに揃える
塩基は特定できないが
交配と選抜により組み換える）
クリームイノにする方法は
確立しているので比較的容易

現在、キンパラの遺伝子を抽出中
なかなか有精卵が得られない
着手したばかりの状態

【COLORFUL CROW FINCHES ON STAGE】

Just as my favorite performance of Riverdance starts,
so the picture I draw (above) lightens when you touch!
Isn't this amazing, don't you think? A set of finches of different
colors line up for dancing. If real, it is going to be too exciting!
At this moment, it is just a dream (again), but the new project
will make this happen in the near future. A society finch
with a single color body is going to be the piece.

A single color body is known as a "Crow" in Japan,
which accidentally emerges, lasts for one generation only,
and disappears. Mostly colored in Black-Brown, it is like
a phantom of a finch. It is genetically a mystery and a hot issue
so that two breeding scientists in Japan, Mr. Kawabata and
Mr. Nakamura, have planed experimental breedings since the summer
in 2004. Then Finch Studio tries a different approach by using
an Ino Gene to reach a "Crow".

【BEING NICKNAMED "PINK PANTHER"】

A perfectly white society finch with red eyes exists,
that is called Albino. "Crows" of other colors will be newly
created by importing Chestnut Munia genes and Ino genes;
i.e. gray, cream and "pink". We nickname a perfectly pink
society finch ---"the Pink Panther"!

＜Concept of Breeding Plan＞

A society finch has a glamorous body with a big tale,
and its courtship songs are sonorous for human ears.
These charms must be preserved. What we do is as follows:
We put a pattern of Chestnut Munia on the society finch's
body and to remove the black and dark brown pigments by Ino genes.
This gives us a dramatic transformation of the finch.
There should be the lighter brown color remains underneath
the black mask, so that we will see the whole body of the bird
covered by lighter brown feathers at last;
--- a "Crow" society finch.
Since we mate a cream-ino society finch with a Chestnut Munia
in our breeding plan which processes all the things at once,
a Chestnut Munia like society finch, in reality, may not be seen.

Meanwhile, the gray color is made by brown melanin. A small
formational change of brown melanin changes reflection of light.
Therefore genetics of Gray is the same as that of Brown.
Since there are about the same number of Gray-Ino society finches
as that of Cream-Inos, it will not be so difficult to mate
Gray-Inos to breed Gray "Crow" society finches.

Finally, the Pink ---The approach is to load reddish brown melanin
with the help of Scaly-Breasted Munia genes. If the replacement
of normal brown by reddish brown, we expect to see diluted red,
which is "Pink"! The conclusion will be the "Pink Panther"!

We will fully utilize the power of Ino Genes through
the breeding process. A crossing plan is being
prepared to find the shortest cut to reach the goal.

Our goal is to take a photograph of real ones!
