fight?

A: Hey..it's Ken. Just got back from taking my kids to get
haircuts.
First question, Who will be my next opponent?
At this point in time, there have been a few names dropped,
but no one definite.
ケンだ。今子供達を床屋に連れていって帰ってきたところだ。

Q: Ken, what did you think of Alexander Otsuka's skill level?
How do you feel your conditioning was for your first fight in 10
years?
ケン、アレクサンダー大塚の技術レベルを、どう思いましたか？
A: Alexanders Skill level? I really didn't get a chance to test
him on
the ground because I wanted to use my standup skills and knock
him out.
AS far as his standup, he seemed alittle slow.
アレクサンダーの技術レベルかい？自分のスタンド技術を使ってノックアウトを
ねらっていたから、彼のグラウンドをテストする機会はなかった。スタンドに関
しては、少しスローに感じた。
Q: Ken - what are your thoughts on the Abu Dhabi performances of
the
Lion's Den? It seems they didn't do so well both times they were
there.

A: In Abu Dhabi, it is strictly submission skills and my fighters
did
do well. They just lost on points. Add punching and take out the
points
and my fighters dominate.

Q: Ken, outside of yourself, who do you feel is the top current
Heavy
Weight? And Middleweight? Are there any people in particular that
you'd
like to fight?

A: Outside of Myself, top heavyweights are Pete Williams,Mark
Coleman,
and Mark Kerr.
Middleweights are Guy Mezger, Sakuraba, and up and coming Lions
Den
fighter Alex Andrade.

Q: Why would you want to fight Frank? Why don't you go to
Rickson's gym
and fight him

A: In response to ccc, It's not that I wanted to Fight Frank, My
statement
was that I would fight anybody because I wanted to take on the
top fighters
and Frank being one of the top fighters, who has also broke off
from the
Lions Den and is trying to use things I created to promote his
website and his gym. If he doesn't
want to be a part of the Lions Den family and badmouth Jerry
Bohlander and Guy Mezger..people who helped
him train, then he should go by his own name.

Two questions, how long do you plan to keep teaching and fighting
for?
Also in a couple of years i would really like to try out for the
Lions Den.

A: In response to MADDOG243..Thanks. I hope that the fans enjoyed
the fight.
I wanted to go in and show a different Ken Shamrock. Before, my
standup was
okay so I really concentrated on working my hands and feet with
Alex Andrade
and Miguel Reyes.

Q: Ken,
How do you feel on the position vs. submission debate? I feel
that most of
the submission over position advocates really utilise a great
deal of strength
in order to obtain the submission. For me, as a lightweight
sometimes this is
just not possible when fighting bigger stronger opponents.
How would you suggest I approach this, from a submission
wrestling standpoint.

A: In response to Cutter.. Being in good position at all times
eliminates
a stronger fighter from getting any type
of leverage. Constant movement is also a way to catch a
submission on
a bigger and stronger fighter. You must be in very good condition
to fight
a bigger and stronger opponent.
常に有利なポジションを取ることは、自分より強い力の相手にテコの力を使わせなく
することだ。
動き続けることも、大きく力の強い相手からサブミッションを取る方法だ。
そういう相手と闘う時には、コンディションを良くしなければならない。
Q: Have you ever sparred with any Jiu-jitsu black belt?
what about Rigan Machado?
これまでに柔術の黒帯とスパーしたことがありますか？
ヒーガン・マチャドはどうですか？
A: In response to Niteroi.. Yes I have sparred with Rigan.
Me and Funaki went down to his studio in Los Angeles.
We put on Gi's and rolled with all the Machado Brothers and I
found
a new world with the gi on.
I was tapping every 2 to 3 minutes with gi chokes.
This was when I was preparing for Royce.

the problem is between the Rickson and Funaki fight?
Do you think this fight will ever come about?
ケン、日本での勝利、おめでとう！船木×ヒクソン戦のトラブルについて、どう
思いますか？この試合は実現するのでしょうか？
A: In response to okk.. I think that fight will probably not
happen especially
in the fact that Royce lost and Rickson still remains undefeated.
If he fights Funaki , Funaki is outstanding on the ground and on
his feet.
He's in great shape and he's bigger and stronger than Rickson.
So this fight has a good possibility of Rickson being beaten as
well.
ホイスが負け、ヒクソンが未だに無敗でいるという状況では、この試合は

Q: WILL YOU EVER FIGHT A TOP HEAVYWEIGHT?
I.E. VOVCHANCHIN,KERR.COLEMAN,RIZZO,YVEL,ERIKSON
ボブチャンチン、ケァー、コールマン、ヒーゾ、アイブル、エリクソン
などのトップ・ヘビー級と闘わないんですか？
A: IN response to Redtick.. I don't pick my fights but Otsuka was
a good
start after being out for 3 1/2 years.
You have to remember that Otsuka beat Ruas, went the distance
with Renzo and
Volchanchin and none of these fighters was able to finish him...I
did.
私は相手を選ばないが、３年半のブランクの後では大塚は良いスタート相手だった。
大塚はファスと破り、ヘンゾやボブチャンチンと闘って誰も仕留められなかった
のを思い出してくれ。私は彼を仕留めた。
Q: Ken since you did so well in your first fight will you be
fighting for
a little longer than you intended?
Do you think many of your WWF fans will be watching you in MMA?
ケン、復帰第一戦は、とても上手くいきましたが、予定よりもう少し長く闘い

A: In response to mo be... This fight was a warm up. I had to get
the rust out. I'm going to get better, I'm going to get stronger,
and
I have a one year plan. I'm going to go out my way and so expect
to see me
fighting to win and not for a draw. My fights will be decisive..
one way or
another.
