Key Features:

Colors:

The web page use black texts in white background, and make it very simple, but it's useful, because the users can read easily. And other feature is after the a user registered in the web site (free service), the user can modified the color and background in their desired color and background. These features will control by the cookies.

Animation:

Simslive doesn't provide any animations. It uses lot of logo which obtains from the the Windows XP. These logos act as pointers in the web site, navigate to places-to-places easily.

Navigation:

The navigation system mainly relied on the java scripts and frame setting. Users do not need to press the "BACK" button on the Explorer, it's because the web site provide a navigation bar on the top, and it contains a scroll-down menus and lists out all the place in the web page.

Good Design:

• Users can apply for the membership (free services of course) and they can adjust the settings like the style of the web page they want, using of theme, and different kinds of background, fonts when they are posting or replying in those forums. .

• The Simslive server will record all the setting which set by the users and makes records for the members. After that, when a member revisit the page, all the setting will be loaded from the server of Simslive, the server will detect the cookies within the member's computer and give out the relevant settings to the users..

Bad Design:

• Only support the Chinese Simplified text within the Explorer, and the web site is not multi-languages. In short, It's forbidden to allow foreign users to access. 

User considerations:

This web page is very impressive. The author allocate the navigation system perfectly, and the implementation of using scroll-down menus, and the author used the icons from Windows XP, and made them fit into the pages.
