<< EGYPT >>

I traveled to Egypt from Jordan by ferry. It connects from Aqaba (Jordan) to Nueiba (Egypt), took about 3 hours. I stayed there 1 night and went to Saint Catherine by bus. There is Mt.Sinai, which is famous in the Old Testament (The Book of Exodas). I climbed and slept one night on top of that mountain.

Next day I went to Cairo the capital of Egypt by taxi and minibus. As you know there are great historical constructions of humankind. Pyramids!! Tourists can get in to them but when I went it was closed. Some people try to climb it in midnight (!!) but it is illegal. There is also a big museum of archaeology in Cairo and I saw many mummies.

After a week, I move to Luxor by train. There are the Temples of Karnak, the Valley of the Kings and others. Luxor is the place that had a terrible terror attack in 1997. But I didn’t feel any danger in these days.

Then, I went down to Aswan along the Nile River by bus. There is a world famous big dam. The Aswan High Dam. Actually I saw it from distance. There are many travel agencies (Agencies are everywhere in Egypt). One more must to do there is to visit Abu Simbel Temple. There are big stone statues of kings. Agency minibuses run every early morning and it takes about 4hours.

After Aswan, I took a ferry to Wadi Halfa (Sudan) on Lake Nasel.
