On this website, you could find pictures taken during our wedding, July 1st, 2001. We married in a Catholic Church with Japanese style kimono. It surprised many people, including the priest! But for Cecile and I, meeting in Japan and liking Japanese culture, we found it "Natural" to wear japanese outfit. It was a dream come true to be able to wear formal japanese kimono in my case. For the renting company where we got the kimonos, it was quite unusual to dress foreigners. My best man was also wearing the same kimono and it confused them very much. We managed to have garden pictures before the ceremony and they turn out to be excellent. We have one set of black and White pictures which make us look like movie stars in Madame Butterfly! No kidding! At the wedding itself, every one found us very impressive. It didn't turn into a joke but was very special. Japanese and Non-Japanese alike found the idea very original and beautiful, I recommend it! When we go back home, no one will have a wedding like ours and we are very lucky to have married in Japan.
