Q1----Why is this circle named "Presentation-Bay"?

In this university, faculty members created the nicknames for each room.
Then, they decided that the nicknames would be connected with
the things related to the sea or the seashore and named.
The name of a Presentation-Bay means "the seashore for carrying out a presentation."

Q2----Are there any recollections of naming?

I hope atudents can acquire presentation skill at Presentation-Bay.

Q3----Why three circles?

It is because three circles were fit exactly between pillars.
If a circle is large, it is hard to communicate.
About 40 students in one circle is very good size for communication.
Why circles? A circle makes you cooperate with friends.
Everyone is equal, everyone is easy to talk.
Circles makes you many chances.

Q4----What do you think about Presentation-Bay?

Presentation Bay is Most impotant space. It is because I am doing atelier-learning.
In the old classes, a teacher writes wrote on a blackboard and the student took notes.
However, in this situation, it is hand to know what your classmates are doing.
Atelier-learning let students think into a groups and solve problems.
Sharing information is used to study.
I think that a presentation bay is the space to learn together.

Q5----We have heard "Mr. Kimura is doing unique lessons"

I didn't think that it was doing unique lessons.
The atelier at Tokyo Art University from which I graduated was very large.

Q6----What is the wonderful work with a straw?

Off-canpus people have asked students what the works would be.
In the old classes, It was bad manner if people come in the class and ask questions.
However, one of the purpose Presentation-Bay there is to communicate (explain, express) to people.
I hope that students will to learn communication.

Q7----What kind of effective output would you have, If Presentation-Bay is used?

Presentation-Bay is an effective space because the space let students
get aware of the way of expressing yourself to others.
I think it difficult to create works at big space,
but Presentation-Bay would make people possible to create all things.

Q8----Do you want Presentation-Bay for to be like for Future University-Hakodate and students?

We did not understand at all what thing occurs, when the open-space Presentation-Bay was made
it was because nobody has done.
It also makes us consider educational design at this a new university.
And, in a large meaning, our activity there will help Elementary-school, Junior High-school and High-school teachers to think about new ways of teaching.
Those movement change the design of office space.
I think that I would like FUN students to try every things that they can.
