Oct. 24th, 2003. Guess Who is coming here? Introduction．（和訳あり） A “monster ” seems to be coming to a website called “Natural Space”. He, though it might be she, seems attack some people so cruelly, but, on the other hand, he seems help others so kindly. Who on earth is him? When I was 4 or 5 years old, I met the monster for the first time. He looked so cool and I liked him though I didn't really understand who he was. When I got a junior high school student, he, however, became a hateful friend of mine. We met each other about three days a week, but he always said “come on, baby! you never catch me!”. And I shouted, “What an unfriendly guy!”. I got to dislike him so much. One day when I was a university student, a question came into my mind, however. “Is he really a bad guy? Actually, he might be a very good guy.” Then, I changed and made up my mind to understand him. Since then, although slowly and slowly, he has been beginning to open his mind. Needless to say, I also have grown up very much. Fortunately, partly because of my effort, partly because of people around me, he became such a friend of mine that we could go to Canada and Hong Kong together. And now I believe he is my best friend though I don't sometimes like him a bit. By the way, before I continue to talk, let me make sure of an important thing. Have you got what the monster is, yet? Guess who he is? I believe you have already known it. ......Yes, that's right. He, the monster, is called “English” which you have already known. Then, Let's get back to the talk about “him” in Natural English. In other words, let's study English.
（和訳）2003年10月24日　ナチュラル・イングリッシュのための導入。ある怪獣がナチュラルスペースと呼ばれるウィブサイトに近づいてきているようです。彼女といった方がいいかもしれませんが、彼はある人々を悲痛なほどに苦しめ、その一方で人々を親切に助けます。いったい全体、彼はない者なんでしょうか！？彼と初めてあったのは、たしか私が4，5歳の時でした。私は、あまり彼をだれか知りませんでしたが、すごくカッコよくも見え、すぐに気に入りました。それから私が中学生になった時です、彼は嫌いな友達となりました。彼とは週に3回ぐらい会っていましたが、いつも「ホラ、こいよ、おちびちゃ～ん。お前なんかにゃ、俺はつかまらないぜェ」なんて言うのです。ほんと、やな奴ですよね。そして、私は彼が大嫌いになりました。しかし、私が大学生になってからのことです。ある疑問が私の心に湧いてきました。「あいつは本当に悪い奴なのかなぁ。実は、案外、いい奴なんじゃないかなぁ」と。それから、心を入れ換え、彼を理解するように努めました。それ以来、徐々にですが、彼は私に心を開き始めてくれました。もちろん、私もとても努力したわけです。そして幸運にも、私の周りの人々のおかげで、カナダや香港に一緒に行くまでの友達になったのです。そして現在は、たまに彼のことを嫌いになりますが、親友同士であると信じています。ところで、話しを続ける前に確かめておきたいことがあります。読者の方はもう既にある怪獣が何者かおわかりでしょうか？彼が誰だと思います？もうこれまでの話しで誰かわりましたよね。そうです。彼の名は“英語”です。あなたの良くご存知のね（笑）。それでは、ナチュラル・イングリッシュでこれまでの会話の続きをしましょう。“彼”についてのね。(つまり、英語の学習を始めましょう）
