My name is Katsumi Iwase. I'm from Tokyo, but I have lived in Sapporo, too.

In Hokkaido, there is a great festival called Yosakoi Soran Matsuri. The city of Sappro get frenzy during the weekend and the dancers are preparing for this festival from soon after the one in a previous year ends. A lot of volunteer workers help making this succeed. It's a great mix of the Japanese traditional Soran-bushi and Western style dance. More than 2 million people watch this festival across Hokkaido. And the number is getting increased. This is what Japanese proud of!

I went to Kaijo Jr. & Sr. High School. And now I go to University of Minnesota.

My hobbies are playing soccer, reading, watching movies. I like action movies. My favorite soccer team is Inter Milan of Italian Serie A. My favorite author is Patricia Cornwell.

Another reason why the University of Minnesota-Twin cities is awesome is that the university has great libraries with their computer system and they are one of the largest in North America. Also, this university has a lot of Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winners in its graduates.
