Please give me messages in English
Hello, everyone.
I am Eriko Otaki. I am an office worker and also a student at Phoenix.
I am Japanese and I think if you see me, you can understand I am a Japanese.. But whenever I go abroad, people always tell me I have some other country's nationality by watching my face. I don’t know why they think so.
I was surprised, especially, when one of the people said to me, “Excuse me , but you are Bhutanese, don't you ?" He said this to my face. Bhutan is a small country between Nepal and China. Fortunately, I knew that country because I had a friend who came from Bhutan as an exchange student when I was in University. And actually Bhutanese have very similar looking to Japanese. Only their complexion is darker and have more suntan. Maybe I look like Bhutanese because I also have a nice suntan.
Because of this or not, I am interested in languages. So, I try to learn as many languages as possible throughout my life, and if I could, I want to contact many different (( language)) speaking people as much as possible. Well, I cannot speak many languages yet. but I know already two or three words in many languages..
These are the list of languages of which I know some words.
Japanese ( even though I am Japanese I still need a lot of practice!!)
Unprofessional English,
German, Portuguese, Indonesian,
Korean, Bhutanese, Chinese,
Russian, Spanish, Italian
Electrical organ, Japanese harp, Flute Piano and so on!
I am now learning English at Phoenix. This is one of the steps to learn many languages. If you know any language please let me know. ((even one word is fine and any language welcome!)) .
You may feel a little bit strange as you see my language list because I put many musical instruments there. But music, body languages, even one smile is nonverbal language, I believe. I always see things from the language point of view.
In the future I want to have a job in which I can work with many different countries' people. If I possible, I want to work as a multi-national intermediator..
I want to talk with you more but I think I had better stop now. Please leave some messages for me on the BBS..
