The View of Honma-So in Summer 1980

[Honma-so today]

There was a small but famous apartment named "Honma-So" in Sapporo.
The second floor of Mr. & Mrs. Honma's house was used as an apartment from April 1978.

The Honma-So is not there anymore.....
It was destroyed in the late 1980's.

This page was made so that everyone will not forget lovable small apartment which used to be a symbol of our students lives in Sapporo.

"Engine" and "ATOMIC"

"Engine" and "Olympus"

In April 1978, "Atomic", "Central Pref Office", "Engine" and "Olympus" started the life in Honma-So in Sapporo, as students of Hokkaido University.

A month later, "North Pref Office" joined.

Within a few months, several good friends of those guys started to visit Honma-So often, such as "AE86", "Naru", "Aircon", "Science" and "Consadore".

These boys and a girl have become members of NFD.Club later.

The 6th Room

One of the features of Honma-So which made it famous among University students was the "6th room", reserved as a "Party Room" from 1980.

The room was used for the parties, after each periodical exinamination was finished.

So much SAKE was drunk in the room...

"Kitchen in Homa-So"

One kitchen was used by all residents.

Sometimes so many un-washed dishes were left in the sink.

The mistress of Honma could not be patient to see them and washed them by herself.
(What a kind mistress !!!)

The Dog Named "Koro"

There was a watch-dog named "Koro" at the entrance of Honma-So.

Her speciality is to be a good friend with anyone who visited the apartment at the first time.

It means, actually she did not functioned as a "Watch-Dog", but "Welcome-Dog".

The Throttle Racing Game

A seen that "Ayachan" & "Aircon" are playing the throttle racing game.

This game had become a big hit among students in the study rooms of the department of technology of Hokkaido University.

Later, opposition games were held among study rooms.

Honma-So in 1986 with "red AE86"

I visited Honma-so from Tokyo in 1986 with my red AE86.

This is the last time that I saw the apartment before it is destroyed....

Honma house in 1992

The mistress of Honma

I visited Honma-So in 1992 again (from Hamburg, Germany!).

I found there was no Honma-So....
A new house for mistress Honma was constructed in the same address.

It was a normal house and not an apartment anymore....
