In Fabrication Laboratory five research projects,
①Research project on personal fabrication of machining tools
②Research project on new loose abrasive finishing
③Research project on alternative fix abrasive tools which have similar performance with loose abrasive processing
④Research project on highly valuable cut-off tools
⑤Research project on evaluation of machined surfaces
are performed.
Specially we join a national project,Rare Metal Substitute Materials Development Project and R&D on reduction technology of cerium oxide which is used for glass polishing is carried out.

# Recent Activity
- 2011/11/17 Dr. Chou, research assistant, presented a paper on reinforced blade and Mr. Ichinoho, graduate student,presented a paper on composite abrasives in ASPEN2011 which was held in Hongkong.

- 2011/11/9 Dr. Chou, research assistant, presented a paper on partially coated diamond abrasives in LEM21.
- 2011/11/8 Prof. Tani presented in ZYGO seminar. The interview report is published.
- 2011/11/4 The 30th anniversary meeting of Tani laboratory was held.
- 2011/10/26 The anniversary symposium in opening NEDO research unit of advanced polishing.
# Future Activity
☆2011/12/7(Wed)～9(Fri)Poster presentation entitled "High-speed manufacturing technology for electroplated diamond wires" will be made at Ritsumeikan Booth in Semicon Japan 2011.
