Space development, medical research or other latest technology are the symbols of the developed countries. 　People who have bachelor, master or doctor degree of science take such jobs and work to develop the world more. On the other hand, people from humanity major, such as literature, language, history, and philosophy, seem to be useless to develop the world. It is true humanity study is useless for space development and medical research, but it is definitely necessary for the human life to warn the people who look only the future.

The purpose of the humanity study is to learn cultures and morals, and it is necessary in any society on any time. For example, an American company has recently announced that they cloned human embryo in order to treat disease, and it is controversial issue now. Literature, like “Faust” and “Don Juan”, had already taught us how dangerous to want something too much is. As another example, the United States is leading the war in Afghanistan, many casualties in Taleban, Northern Alliance, or even US troops have been reported every day. Regardless of the enemy or not, all the soldiers in the war are having a terrible experience. Literature had already told us that how badly soldiers are damaged in the war. The purpose of the war, to get rid of the terrorism of the world, sounds very good, however, people of science major or politic major should know the damage of the human being.

In conclusion, science helps develop the world while humanity study helps people learn culture and morals. As science research goes on, people need humanity study to warn that scientific researchers and politicians go to wrong directions. Humanity study should be regarded as an important matter as much as science studies.
