Oxford

The Christ church gate
I went on the day trip to Oxford, which is quite a famous city as the University as well as Cambridge. It took about 4 hours from Norwich. It was too long to go by minibus. When I arrived in Oxford, I felt as if I had just got off a plane. Anyway I arrived in Oxford.
Firstly I visited the Christ Church College, which was the largest college in Oxford. One of the most famous physicists, who you must know, Albert Einstein is a former student in this college. It had a beautiful courtyard. Einstein might have been walking around here, and the idea for the new theory might have crossed his mind.

Library
There were a lot of things to see there. I especially liked the library, which looked nice. I got over the fence, and peeped into the library. Some students were studying at that time. It was a really good atmosphere.
Of course, I also visited the Cathedral, whose stained glass windows were beautiful.

Secondly I went toward Merton College. On the way there, I saw a student, who might not have been a student, sitting in the courtyard of one of the colleges. The sight seemed really representative of campus life, so I could not resist taking hi picture.
I also see a cherry blossom, which was at its best, in city center. At that time, I wondered about it in Japan.

Merton College
After approximately 15 minutes walk, I arrive at Merton College, which is the oldest college in England.
When I went into the Church, an organist was just doing practice on the pipe organ. The sounds were really impressive for me who had never heard the sounds before. It was really nice.

Emperors
After that we still had spare time so that I visited a bookshop which had the Guinness record that they sold the largest number of books in a day. Though it was huge, there is nothing special except the Guinness record. However I found the statues of ancient roman emperors just in front of the shop. I do not know the reason, but these looked funny for me.
On the whole I enjoyed the trip. Oxford city had an academic and sophisticated atmosphere. During the trip, I could not stop wondering about me studying there.
