Tofu chili

1 tsp (5 ml) vegetable oil
cup (125 ml) chopped onion
1 package (350 g) Extra-firm tofu, crumbled
1 package chili seasoning
1 can (10 oz/284 ml) mushroom pieces, drained
1 can (14 oz/398 ml) kidney beans, drained
1 can (5.5 oz/156 ml) tomato paste
1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
  1. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat and cook onion until soft.
  2. Crumble tofu into pan and add chili seasoning.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until thoroughly cooked.
    Tofu is food it is cheap, delicious and good on the body.
