Such a heavy summer it is!

The weather of Jeddah

I have to tell about crazy summer in Jeddah. They say that Riyadh, which is the capital city in Saudi Arabia, becomes cooler during the night. However, It is different from Jeddah to Riyadh. It is quite humid even at night in the summer in Jeddah. This Jeddah's summer is pretty heavy and long. It is because it is close to the Red sea. The summer begins in March and finishes in October. June and July are the hottest months in Jeddah. It is sometimes 40 (104 e) on a car thermometer.

In my common sense, in the morning and evening, it is cooler than day time. And it is comfortable of cause. However, when I open the window in the morning, the really warm humid air comes in my room. In the evening also the same! Immediately I close the window. When I walk on the road at noon, I feel as if I were a fried egg (a sunny -side up). It is also like a gold fish in the lack of oxygen.

In October, it becomes cooler day by day. January and February are coolest months in Jeddah. We can enjoy outdoor sports only during this short season of nice weather. However we have to be careful of the accident in the changing season. Because, the heavy sand storm and heavy rain come very often in the changing month. Except for this season, we never see rain in Jeddah. Washed cloth are dusty with dirty rain. Every time it rains the road is flooded with rain.Sometimes the old tree and utility hole are fallen down.
When I played tennis outside, the sand storm came suddenly. It was unlucky and terrible experience.

The nature of Jeddah

As you know, there is a huge desert and wide Red Sea. It takes 30 minutes from the city center. They say that long long ago, we could walk from the Arabian peninsula to Egypt. That why, I remember the Red Sea from the Bible. However, there is nothing. When I stand beside the Red Sea. It was so hot and humid. I couldn't stay long time.
All our family can do is go swimming on the beach at Red Sea. But, we can also skin dive to see beau
tiful fish.
