Acceptance of Donations: The types of items which are acceptable change throughout the year. It is better to call the above phone number before you bring or send your donation.
Sending your Donation: You can send your donation through the post or a delivery company. However please be aware that you are responsible for the postage or delivery charge.
Pick-up Service: The Bazaar Centre has a free pick-up service for donations within a limited area. There is a waiting list, so please book about a month before the day you want your donation to be picked up.
Booking Procedure: Please call the phone number shown above and give your name, address, telephone number and a description of your donation. If you want to donate small items, such as clothes, daily goods, shoes, etc. then please give the number of boxes or large size plastic bags. If you want donate large electrical items such as refrigerators or furniture, then please tell the operator the size of the item and what it is made of.
When donating large items, please be aware that the Bazaar Centre staff need to see the actual item to decide whether they can take it or not. There is a possibility that your item cannot be accepted.
The Bazaar Centre accepts donations on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 4.00pm. However you MUST phone the Bazaar Centre before your visit. Also please be aware that there are certain items the Bazaar Centre cannot accept. In that case you will need to take the items back with you. Please call first to ensure that your donation can be accepted.
The Bazaar is open for business every Saturday from 9.00am until 2.00pm.
Transport: If you come by car you are allowed to park in the parking area for a maximum of 1 hour. Therefore, it is advisable to use public transport. (There is no time limit for bicycle parking.)
How to get there by Public Transport:
Train: The nearest train station is Nakano-fujimicho on the Marunouchi Line. There is only one exit at Nakano-fujimicho Station. When you get out from the station, turn left. Go straight until the 4th traffic light, which has a sign, "Wada 2". Turn right at this traffic light. Go straight until you reach The Salvation Army Booth Memorial Hospital. Turn left and pass in front of the hospital. On the corner on the right you will see a brick building, which is The Salvation Army Suginami Corps. Just past that is the Bazaar Centre, a 2 storey white building.
Bus: The nearest bus stop is Boshi-ryo mae. There is a set of traffic lights which has a sign, "Wada 2". Head north, which is away from the supermarket and slightly uphill. Go straight until you reach The Salvation Army Booth Memorial Hospital. Turn left and pass in front of the hospital. On the corner on the right you will see a brick building, which is The Salvation Army Suginami Corps. Just past that is the Bazaar Centre, a 2 storey white building.
