I lived in Egypt for 4 and half years June 1997 to November 2001. l also staued in Caoro for a half year in 1995 and 1996.

I'm a consulting engineer in charge of bridge planning and design. But I worked for the construction of the Suez Canal Bridge as a supervisor since the construction of this bridge had commenced in June 1997. The Suez Canal Bridge is a Cable-Stayed Bridge with a steel girder. This bridge has the longest center span in Africa and the Middle East of 404 m, and the highest navigation clearance in the world of 70 m above the high water level of the Suez Canal.

Working here isn't easy and it's very stressful. Besides living here sometimes uncomfortable. Although I'm frustrated sometimes, I still feel Egypt is a very interest country to live. Since I came here in June 1997, I'm enjoying my life here. Diving, tennis and music. And then traveling. I've traveled around Egypt much more than ordinary Egyptians. There are many attractive tourist destinations all over Egypt from gigantic Pyramids in Giza to beautiful Red Sea resort, elegant temples in Luxor and Abu Simble to exotic River Nile, and from mysterious tombs in Luxor to mythic Mt. Sinai. Egypt has very long history and diversity of nature. So Egypt is a very attractive distention for many tourists
