After the year 1959, USSR recalled engineers and counselor from China. It prevents China to develop of aeronautics or reffered industries. Also, the Cultural Revolution had depurged excellent engineers from Air industries.

But now a days, out‐of‐dated F-7, licensed MiG-21 is still in good position in those poor Countries. And after the cool War, Western technological innovation came to China to enabled to make up modern weapon systems. Now China succeed to make Sukhoi Frankers, that will bring China as a fearful powered Country. U.S. worried or concerned this situation. So U.S. maybe respect Japan to make-up the law for the case of emergency.

Shenyang/Tianjin J-6/F-6 Farmer

Mig-19 was planned to shoot Boeing B-47. Then the first supersonic fighter I-350M ( prototype of MiG-19 ) developped and flighted in Sept.1953. But at that time, already B52A flighted in 1952/04/15. So Soviet Union projected MiG-21 in a great hurry. Ye-5, the prototype of MiG-21 flighted in June 1956. Only one years after till MiG-19 production type had disposed. But MiG-21F, the first practical model production begun the end of 1959. These days were quite serious situation between USA and USSR. So Sovied could not wait. Then about 2500 MiG-19 were producted.

J-6/F-6 is a copy of MiG-19. China maybe could not get blueprints of MiG-19/21. So they took planes to pieces for make blueprints. In China, about 3000 J-6 fighter/attacker were built. Since USSR stopped to service MiG-19, then Chinese ramained maintenance and export for Albania, Bangla, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, North Korea ,Pakistan and/or other countries. Some of these countries still use J-6/F-6 at the end of year 2001.

Nanchang J-5/Q-5/A-5 Fantan

J-5 is a transformated MiG-17. Body streched 25% and air intake removed both side, body shaped with area rule, and rader or other weapon system attached for offense. Then the character of J-5 is similar to A-4, A-7, MiG-23 and Jaguar. Now in China, J-5 begun to retire for Sukhoi Su-30 or JH-7. But those countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, North Korea and Myanmar, J-5(Q-5/A-5) is still active for the next several ten years.

Chengdu F-7

"China Copy" means that the Chinese could make copy goods inconstantly. But, in case of MiG-21, it was not easy. the first hazzard was the quarrel with Russia. Their supporting engineer leaved from China.. So they ought to made only with blue plints. The second obstacle was the Cultural Revolution. Many engineers expeled for the countryside. Of cource the project stopped for long time. Then the Ten-an-mon incident happened. These event prevented till the end of 1970th. It was almost 20 years later when Russia developped MiG-21.
Fishbed is the first and pahaps last super-sonic fighter builded over 10,000 in the world. So China could export many Chengdu F-7, Chinese code of Fishbed, for the third world even if it was out of date machine. Poor range, poor arms, poor weapon system covered with extra low price of F-7. Many poor country could get super sonic intercepter by low cost. It is said that a F-100 engine costs same as a full spec F-7. China developped many variation of russian jet fighters. These plane's common weak-point caused poor electric weapon/control systems. Though the figure could copy easily, but the lack of originality and technology, prevents to make original development.

Chengdu Super-7 (FC-1)

Maybe you could not belive that this illustrated FC-1 is developped MiG-21 except its slender shaped fuel tank. It have F-16 like vertical tail, F-5/F-20 like nose canopy and enlarged/straked main wings.
FC-1 was specialized and partially funded with Pakistan, to intercept India Sukhoi-27/30. Pakistan fear the crisis for incleasing India offensive power. But there is difference of national power obviously. Another word, "poor". FC-1 maybe costed 1/4 or 1/5 to F-16 or Mirage 2000. Also, complicated political background make it difficult to import weapons from Russia and U.S. These environments made such strange fighter which combined the present and past. FC-1 could attach from outsight with rader guided AAM (Beyond Visual Range ablity, BVR).

Chengdu J-17　Thunder Fighter

China was really frightend of the Western technologies at the Bay War in 1991. So their development policy inclined to modern, high-technology multirole Jet Fighters. That was why FC-1 plan delayed. "Fly-by-wire system" and "Lookdown ability",and many other avionics attached. At same time, successful reduction of weight while intensity endure +8G realized. The cost still remained 1/3 or 1/2 to Western Fighters. After Tiananmen Square protests on 1989, Grumman stopped techincal support and then Mikoyan Gurevich begin to support this project. China had frightened to so advanced the 4th fighter technology at the Gulf War on 1991. So many technology beyond on Russian air industries. Pakistan declared to inport 50 to 250 of J-17 , to replace F-7, A-5 and Mirage III. And some 3rd world interested in this multirole fighter.

Shenyang　F-8 Finback

F-8 is twin-engined and enlarged early type of MiG-21, which developped China Aeronautics individually. Though production models were prepaired in 1970th era, it have poor All-Weather ability, so it seems that after several ten or a hundred producted, production moved for F-8II.

Shenyang F-8II

Shenyang F-8 II is reformed from F-8, which was enlarged MiG-21. Nose setted air-intake prevent fo mount big diameter rader, Like Lightning and Mig-21. That means poor ability to serch enemies, to say with another ward, out-of-date jet fighter. It was clear that the Cultural Revolution put back (near 20 years) the development of F-8 like as F-7.
China engeneers decided to remove air intake for both side, and attached big rader in nose. That is story why F-8 II planned.

"Unbelievable old‐fashioned" F-8II's construction technology, maybe determinded China Air Force to introduce Sukhoi Su-27 from Russia, most advantaged jet fighter. First flight was june 1984, compared with Su-27 prototype flied May 1977. But dare to say, Chinese aircraft Industories and emgineers survived by/with this blockhead project.

Jianhong JH-7

Xian JH-7 Jianhong is Chinese supersonic attacker/bomber. Twin engine and high-mount wing is similar as Jagur, Tornade and Japanese F-1. That means this plane designed as same role.

At 1988 Farnborough air show, JH-7 model displayed. And the summer of 1995, video of JH-7 formation flight opened to the public. It was said that Xian engine had not enough thrust for long term in spite of Chinese Engineers' hard work. When the first public flight held in 1998, RR Spey turbo-jet engines attached. That maybe mean or suggest that enough amount/quality/liability of engines production is still uncertain. Any way, these matters prove that Chinese Aviation Technology delayed 30 to 40 years than Western Europe, Russia and U.S. Another words, these serious generation gap forced China to introduce Sukhoi Fighters abd Bombers from Russia.

Chengdu J-10（F-10）

Chengdu is a mysterious fighter/attacker. Maybe Israel Air Industries consulted this project, but both Israel and China denied about this. In the year 2001, some prototype were in test flight to makeup fly-by-wire system.
It is a modern multi role fighter. Like F-16 is single engined F-15, J-10 is single-engined Su-27/30. That means "Hi-Lo Mix".

Shenyang J-11 Flanker B+

PLAAF owns many fighters and attackers that is most many scale in Far-East. But many of them are out-of-dated. And PLAAF wanted long-ranged heavy-class Multirole fighters like Su-27 or F-15. At same time they needed modern technology of avionics. So in the year 1995, 200 Su-27SK (Monkey Model) inport deed transfered with Russia. But China would like to make dead-copy model of it and call 'Original developped model'. So Russia was very angry and stopped to export as the amount of 95. And China could not make himself as enough quality. Then, maybe some agreement supported both Russia and China, 77 Su-27 export/inport added. (2011 Spring)

Chengdu J-20

This is a Chinese 'original-developped' fifth generation stealth strike fighter. Its first flight held on 11/01/2011, which is Chinese 'Lucky Day'. Even the outline or specifications are not decleared at June 2011. Figures looks similar as F-22 Raptor, but Chendu J-20 has foward canards, like J-10. So the aerodynamics silhouettes are near to J-10. It will capable vectered thrust engine and attached advanced fly-by-wire system with advanced avionics system. Figure of radders are very similar as Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk, which was shot down by the Serbian military in 1999. So It was said that F-20's stealth technology came from F-117. No guns maybe attached.
Weak point of this project is to get and product enough powered and liable engine. Russia angried when China made J-11, licenced version of Su-27, China did not get any agreement of engine 'China Copy', neverthless China done it. Then China could not get licenced product agreement at J-15, knock-down version of Su-30. So China must develop engine itself. Other problem is RCS. J-20 have vertical tail fins and finlets under the wings which have conical camber, these are spoil RCS.
This strike fighter's main targets are: Aegis combat systemed Crisers, Aircraft Carriers, I think. It make possible to control East China Sea Strageticaly.
