February 8 (Mon)
"I have a shoulderache." "My arm aches." She complains
and doesn't want to start drawing. It has been three weeks since
she started drawing. Is this her first slump as an artist??
|
I can hear the yellow flicker.

Standing up in a cold winter wind.

February 9 (Tue)
She mistook the season and drew items of Fall. Since she
stays home all day, not only days but also seasons become mixed
up in her mind. She is a little down today.

February 10 (Wed)
She read messages on the bulletin board on this home page.
And her enthusiasm towards drawing seems to be back. She is
sending out postcards to her friends to let them know about
our home page: ---including her friends who do not have personal
computers (^^). Looking at her happy face makes me work hard
on updates.

They are whispering
each other,
"Spring has come. Spring has come."
|
|

It is left behind.

February 11 (Thu)
The neighbor gave us a lot of flowers and greens. Inside
of the house is like Spring; sweet daphnes, camellias, snow
willows, sun flower grass, cucumbers.
However, she drew Japanese radish leaves in the kitchen. She
might have felt the leaves were left behind and so she was.

| February 12 (Fri)
She must be listening through her
eyes. She draws pictures looking at the subject and the painting
brush by turns. Then she writes what she has heard on the picture.
I think this is her drawing process. I have heard that a person
become a child when he/she becomes old. Looking at this picture,
I couldn't stop crying.

"It's snack time." I heard my mom's voice.
|
|

A hard bud popped. A small Spring has
come out.

February 13 (Sat)
"It is amazing to know there are people who are touched
by my drawings. I have lived without any special thoughts. I
just draw." "What is good about my drawings?" These are her
thoughts after reading your messages on this home page. Maybe
it is difficult for mom to know how special her paintings are.
Even I did not think her paintings would get such a big response.
I used to criticize her paintings......I am sorry, mom.....

February 14 (Sun)
We gave mom a cute bear shaped chocolate for Valentine's
Day. It was a family present to her. Recently, we have been
receiving a lot of mails, messages on the bulletin board, telephone
calls, and subjects for her drawings; variety of presents. She
is somewhat like a celebrity♪ But sometimes she doesn't understand
why people praise her. She seems a little confused (^.^)

Who am I going to give this to?
