ウクレレ・ライド・オンウクレレ・ライド・オンというわけで、唐突に始めてしまうぞ、ウクレレページ。なぜにウクレレか？ と聞かれれば、気に入ってしまったんだから仕方がない。そんでもってなぜ、おいらがウクレレにはまったかというと、こどちゃで演出やってる桜井弘明さんのつまびくウクレレを聴いてしまったからだとしか言いようがないっす。
実は以前からなにか楽器を始めようと考えていて、三味線がいいななぞと考えていたんですな。でもいろいろ調べると手入れが大変だということを知りまして、もっと気軽なものがいいやと思っていたところに、ウクレレがやってきたというわけです。しかし、最近はウクレレブームらしい。ＳＭＡＰの香取慎悟なんかがウクレレ持ってテレビなんか出るもんだから、流行に乗っかったお軽いヤツに見られそうでいやだなぁと。
そんでもってこれがおいらのウクレレ第１号だ。マーチンのバックパッカーっす。弦は普通に張ってあります。弾いてるのは大地会に来ていた佐藤美佳子さん。りりかファンなら知ってるよな。
そんでもってバックパッカーは、おいらの保存の仕方が悪かったのか、パキっとヒビいってしまいました。そんでもって購入したのがコ・アロハのスタンダードタイプ。愛称はレイラちんだ。通常だと５万くらいするらしいんだけど、タイミングがよかったのか、消費税込みで４万でゲットしました。比較用ウクレレコーナーで大活躍中です。にっこり笑顔がかわいいのは三澤真弓さん。剛くんだね。
桜井弘明さんのウクレレの奨めウクレレは安い物では１４８０円というものが現在確認されていますが、ひっでぇ安っぽい合板で趣味の悪い色に塗られているため、げろげろでチューニングも合いません。弦もいい加減なものが接着（！）されていて弦を交換するという弦楽器には必要なことが出来ないようになっているところが安物感を増大させます。弦の設定も高すぎて音は狂うは、弾きにくいは、で、いいとこありません。しかし、自分で調整しまくるとそれなりに、良くなるので、１４８０円でも悪くはないかも。でも、面倒くさいし、お金もかかるので、ここはやっぱり最初からそれなりのランクのものを購入した方がいいでしょう。
できれば使われている木も単板のものがお奨めです。響きが合板とは全然違って、音を文字で表わすと．．．合板だと「ペン」と聞こえるが、単板だと「コァン！」と聞こえます。音量も全然違います。僕も最初は入門者用となっていた１万２千円のものを買ったのですが（りりか＃３４の星夜のウクレレの音）、現在使っている８万円のを手に入れたら音は全然違うし、チューニングも狂いにくいし、こうも違うものかと驚いたのでした。
そんな訳でアコースティック楽器なので思いきり値段で差が付きます。お奨めはボディ材に単板を使っているとすると、３万円以上がいいと思いますが、それも目安ということで．．．実際楽器屋で店員に確かめるといいでしょう。何も知らないで知ったかぶるバカ店員もいますので注意してください。あと銘柄で選ぶのも目安になりますが、僕の知っている範囲では「アストゥーリアス」、「マーチン」、「ギブソン」、「カマカ」、「シェナンドウ（マーチンの廉価ブランド）」あたりがいいでしょう。「マーチン」はべらぼうに高いんですが、大久保の中古楽器専門の店に２７万円のものが６万円台で出ていますので、それを狙うといいでしょう。「マーチン」は持っているだけで威張れます。
ということで、音を聞いて、良いもの。チューニングが合わせやすいもの。弾きやすいもの。あとは自分の好みの見た目などで選んでください。
