にいがた国際映画祭記

舞台は１９７６年、四国・松山。 美しく穏やかな海に囲まれたこの町に生まれ育った悦子は、成績優秀で要領のいい姉に比べ、不器用で勉強も苦手。 新しく始まる高校生活を目前にしても、心底打ち込めるものが見つけられずにいた。 始業式当日から幼なじみであり天敵の関根ブーにはいやみを言われ、入ろうと思ったボート部には女子チームはないと門前払いされてしまう。 しかし悦子は「ないんじゃったら作ったらええんか。」とメンバーをかき集める。 ダッコ、ヒメ、リー、イモッチの４人。悦子を含め全員が運動部未経験でボートを海まで運ぶことさえおぼつかない。当然の如く、試合にでても勝利とはほど遠い。 そんな彼女たちの前に、元日本選手権メンバーという経歴だけは立派だがやる気の全くないコーチ・晶子が現れる…。

菊地多恵子 （ダッコ） ５人のなかでいちばん大人びていてちょっと皮肉屋。３番を担当。 真野きりな １９７８年７月２８日生まれ

矢野利絵 （リー） 気が優しくておとっりしている。悦子のクラスメートでもある。２番を担当。 葵 若菜 １９８１年５月１６日生まれ

中浦真由美 （イモッチ） ミーハーでお調子者。ダッコでいいコンビでメンバーを明るくする。バウを担当。 久積絵夢 １９８０年７月２０日生まれ
