Ise Katagami or Ise Paper Pattern Work for Dyeing as Hobby
Shonan Hill, Japan
Ise Katagami or Ise Paper Pattern is the Japanese traditional paper crafts
originated in Ise
, Mie prefecture, Japan since 780s AD.
Ise is one of the most famous and familiar cities of Japan for Japanese people
since it is honored by the installation of the oldest and supreme shrine of Japan,
originally an ancient Emperor-owned institution:
It is called "Jingu
," meaning "The Shrine."
Ise Katagami is practically used for dyeing Japanese legacy cloths, Kimono.
It becomes, however, an art in these days for its marvellous and finest hand craft feature.
We enjoy it here in Shonan
Hill located in the Metropolitan area.
