Feelings

I continue to create pieces which come naturally to me. The feelings
that emerge from within me are relayed to my hands, which in turn mold my emotions into the clay. Instead of adding accessories to my pieces, I aim to leave their natural form as much as possible.

As a child , either at the beach or at the playground, playing in the sand,
filling holes dug with water; making dirt balls; digging tunnels; creating
mounds - such memories everyone has. As one becomes an adult, there are those moments when you want to go back to your childhood, and regain the innocence. Perhaps it is looking for the safety which we felt as children. Is it not this safe state of mind that one can be truly honest to oneself?
I, as a composer creates music, tune my own melody into my pieces. It just so happens that at this moment, the material I happen to use is "earth".
Recently as I begin my creative process, I remember a Hawaiian beach.
The sun beating down onto the beach; palm trees. Sparkling blue sky, clear
blue sea. From such images my works are formed.
I, whatever age I may be, want to cherish the feeling of safety and warmth.
It is my wish for daily life to naturally have these senses.
