2002/05/13 (mon)

I left for school this morning actually but on my way there I changed my mind into going travel agencies.
It was because I had to make reservations as soon as possible, especially tickets for going back to Japan
with the same air plane with Tomohiro, my mother in-law and my mom. I was so nervous about it
because getting the ticket of JAL seemed to be difficult here in Canada dominated by Air Canada, especially
I wanted to but it for one way with discounted price. I was wondering if they had any in their inventory and
if they could offer me some discount. When I asked about it at one of the agencies, they had!
But it would set me back for more than 200,000 yen for one person. That could be a huge damage!
At the other agency, I was been waiting for their survey for a looooooong time. I could get answer after 5:30pm
after getting home, at last! They had! Those prices for us sounded the most reasonable,
so I asked her to keep tickets for me on hold.

By the way, today was the last meeting of Beavers! They will have a couple of camping and excursions
but the meeting at this nearby hall was supposed to be the last one. So we had a BBQ party with all members of
Beavers and their families. Even in the rainy weather, we could enjoy the last meeting and having hamburgers, hotdogs,
many salads and drink. Yoichi was acting goofy with his friends and he looked so happy. Looking at his happy face,
nibbling a piece of chocolate cake which was definitely Canadian cake; soooooo sweet with icing cream,
I thought he had become a Canadian thoroughly, even in regard to his taste for food!
They gave us some statement to thank us joining Beavers activities and they celebrated three children
who would turn to be members of "Cubs"-next age level, from the next school year.
The end of Canadian life is coming gradually, this was what I felt at that time.
Yoichi was still playing goofy with his friends, though.
