We walk just behind the banner of the Japan-America Society at the head of the Sakura Matsuri Parade.

In front of the White House

Peace Pole presentation to the Japan America Society at the Federal Triangle after the Parade

Ms. Moroi sings "Sakura Sakura."

In the name of the Ichikawa Committee, Dr. Obayashi presents the Peace Pole to Mr. Jeff Holland, a representative of the Japan America Society. After the presentation, all the audience prayed together the words written on the pole:
May Peace Prevail in the United States of America (3 times)
May Peace Prevail in Japan (3 times)
May Peace Prevail on Earth (3 times)
