イタリア出身の GOTHICA のファーストアルバム。１９９５年に６曲入りデモ「Gothica」、９８年に８曲入り
デモ「Proserpina」をリリースしている。アルバム全体でゴシックのムードを高めているこのファーストアルバムは
かなり完成度が高いと思います。ちょっとぽちゃりした丸顔で緑の瞳のイタリア美人な Alessandra嬢とモノクロの写真が
似合う Roberto の２人の写真がインナーにあります。中部イタリアの民族音楽とダークアンビエント系の音を混ぜ合わせた
音楽みたいでして、フルート、ヴァイオリンの定番だけでなくオーボエまで使ちゃってます。Alessandra嬢の声がちょっと
独特でよくある天使系のソプラノでないのが良いです。なんというかすごくエキゾチックな歌い方で、しいて言えば
The 3rd & The Mortal の元ヴォーカル Ann-Mari嬢のような感じ。ぞくぞくするほどの耽美さが漂うこの作品は超お勧めです。
