How to become a plaintiff
Please read the following procedures for becoming a plaintiff in the lawsuit against the development of Iriomote Resort.
- Before deciding to become a plaintiff, please read all of the necessary
documents carefully so that you clearly understand the nature of the lawsuit.
- If you would like to become a plaintiff, please send documents @ to D
to the address written in #6. You can print out documents @ and A from
this webpage.

BPhotocopy of your identification such as Passport, Driver's License, or ID.
CPhotocopy of your deposit document.
DPhotocopy of a document which proves you have parental permission to participate in this legal action(necessary for minors only).

- Regardless of age, sex, nationality, domicile, religion, or philosophy,
anyone who desires to preserve Iriomote Island’s environment and to create
a bright future for the island and its residents by challenging the construction
of Iriomote Resort begun by UNIMAT Real Estate Inc. and its affiliated
companies is qualified to participate as a plaintiff. If you are a minor
(under 20 years old,) you must have permission from a person with parental
authority.
- Please send us a photocopy of your deposit document along with your application
form.

- How to fill out the Application form
Please read the following directions carefully before you fill out the Application form.
<If you are over the age of 20 and a foreign citizen.>
■Complete all information and sign.
■Write down your ID number such as your foreign resident registration number (if you live in Japan), social security number, or any other identification number. Please also indicate what kind of an identification number it is.
<If you are under the age of 20 and a foreign citizen. >
■Under Japanese law, a person under the age of 20 is a minor.
■Make certain that you sign your name in the places where a signature is required.
■Write your identification number such as foreign resident registration number (if you live in Japan), social security number, or any other identification number. Please also indicate what kind of an identification number it is.
■If your parents are married, are in good health, and have joint custody, then they both need to sign where the legal guardian signature is required.
■If the guardian and you are living in the same place, you can indicate the guardian’s address as "same as … (the plaintiff's name)" in the place where the guardian address is required.
■Indicate your guardian’s telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address (if any).
- Both Japanese citizens and foreign citizens fill out the same "Power
of Attorney" form.
<For Adults>
■Write your name, address, and today's date, and sign in two places (or
put seals)on top of the paper. As you write your name and address, please
make certain that they are the same as the ones on the Application Form.
Please also write the complete address correctly such as your room number
and name of apartment and prefecture (if you live in Japan.) The postal
code is not necessary.
<For Minors>
■ Your legal guardian must complete everything the same way as it is directed above, being sure to sign the document. The names of the minor and the person with legal parental authority must be printed on the form (e.g. Hanako Iriomote [minor's name]; Taro Iriomote[Guardian's name]). In the case that parents are married and in good health, both parents' names are required. Please write the legal guardian’s address where indicated.
■Please sign or put your seal in two places?one right beside the names, and the other on top of the sheet.
