小池環境大臣のアジア欧州会合(ASEM)第2回環境大臣会合への出席について

10月12日(日)から13日(月)まで、レッチェ(イタリア)においてアジア欧州会合(ASEM)第2回環境大臣会合が開催されます。アジア・欧州各国の環境担当大臣が出席し、ヨハネスブルグサミットのフォローアップ、多国間環境問題、気候変動(地球温暖化問題)、将来のASEMにおける更なる対話と協力等について議論する予定です。  我が国からは小池環境大臣等が出席します。

China orders stepped-up emissions controls at coal-fired power plants

China has ordered coal-fired power plants in Beijing and other main cities to install emissions controls to cut down on the release of harmful sulfur dioxide, the official China Daily newspaper reported Thursday.
