Today, we still have racial problems. It is inclined to take place in developed countries, because such countries have attracted many people who are from the other countries, especially not rich countries. It is no wonder, because rich countries have more opportunities for people to get better jobs which is more comfortable and makes still more money.

Canadian society consists of diverse immigrants and First nations who are originally inhabitant of Canada. This country literally deserves to be called multiracial or multicultural. In this developed country, there have been tons of problems that are caused by or related to racial/ethnic issue for example, racial division, Quebec Nationalism and first Nationfs problem etc. Canadian people and government have tried to resolve these problems because they know that Canada has depended on such new comers to a considerable extent.

On the other hand, Japanese society is still homogeneous therefore ordinary people cannot go through racial/ethnic problems though few of them such as Japanese Korean or the Ainu race may undergo these issue. In future, however, Japan must become multiracial society. Today, Japanese society has to resolve critical problem of rapidly aging society resulting from the decline in the birthrate. Aging society causes fiscal challenges therefore it is urgent needs for Japan to solve this problem. One of the methods to increase young population is immigration intake as many developed countries have done.

In future, it is considered that Japan is going to accept immigration little by little. If such future comes into existence, it is very easy to guess that multiracial society is going to bring about racial/ethnic problems in Japan. For the present, we Japanese do not have so much experience and method therefore it is really important to observe the other developed countries that have accepted many immigrants and learn the way they have taken.
