No.fork American river (Chamberlain Falls)

I did Chamberlain falls run of the North Fork of American river. I did it twice with Craig in the end of April and the begining of May. The flow was 2,100 and 1,750 cfs, respectively. It is very beautiful and nice run. The difficulty is class IV, but less harder than The Box canyon of the Upper Sacrament. This run is 4.8 miles and it took only 2 1/2 hours to finish. There were not so many surfin spots, but I like this run.

North for of American riverへ行ってきました。

Very beautiful wild flowers (Blue Lupine) on the hillside of Yankee Jim road.

A beautiful view from the bridge at the take out.

For me, it looked like unexplored place in deep mountains. I was impressed with the beautiful landscape.

I was going down the biggest drop of this run.

Rafters was going up along the small side creek. They tried to play "going through water tunnel" I am not sure how safe it is.

A guy was just coming out through the water tunnnel. There seemed to be a small tunnel under rocks. Everyone who went through it got really wet. I did not do that.
