Is Windows Me the Teflon operating system? We'll find
out
soon. The $90 upgrade from Win98 shipped this week amid
lackluster
reviews and sluggish benchmarks. The question
is: Will any of this bad press
stick, or can Microsoft cook
up success every time?
Monday morning
quarterbacks routinely complain that
Microsoft's marketing power lets the
company sell inferior
products. If that's true then Windows Me will be
on
everyone's desktop come springtime.
I tend to think users are
little more discriminating. I
suspect you'll look at Windows Me and draw your
own

the price for some people.
