The benefits of Worshipping Melkor Bauglir

1. As you increase your piety, Melkor will grant boosts to your strength,
   constitution and charisma and will decrease intelligence and wisdom.

2. If you are praying, Melkor may makes you invisible and immune to fire.

The disadvantages of Worshipping Melkor Bauglir
メルコール・バウグリアを信仰することのデメリット
1. Your piety decreases with time.
　時間とともにPtは減少していきます。
2. Your piety decreases with time even more if you are praying.
　祈りを奉げている間はより一層Ptが減少していきます。
3. He will completely abandon you if you destroy The One Ring.
もし「一つの指輪」を破壊した場合、メルコールは完全にあなたを見放すでしょう。

Melkor Bauglir's Magic
メルコール・バウグリアの魔法
Worshipping Melkor Bauglir gives the adventurer access to a set of special
spells that come directly from the hands of Melkor. 
メルコール・バウグリアへの信仰によって、冒険者はメルコールの御手から直接もたらされる特別な呪文を唱えることができるようになります。
These spells use your piety to cast rather than your spellpoints,
これらの呪文はMPではなくPtを消費して唱えられます。
 and the level of spells that Melkor will permit you to use is determined by your Prayer skill - how skillful you are in asking for his help without offending him!
そして唱えることができる呪文のレベルは祈祷のスキルに依存します。スキルは、メルコールの怒りを買うことなしにどれだけの助けを得られるかを決定します。

There is a special book - called the "Corrupted Tome of Melkor"

contains instructions for the procedure for each of the prayers Melkor will grant.

There are three prayers all told, which are:
祈りには全部で以下の３つがあります。
1. Curse (Level 1)
　呪い（レベル１）
   It curses a monster, reducing its melee power
　モンスターを呪い、戦闘力を減少させる。
   At level 5 it can be auto-casted(with no piety cost) while fighting
　レベル5で戦闘中に（Ptを消費せずに）自動的に発動するようになる。
   At level 15 it also reduces armor
　レベル10でモンスターのACを減少させるようになる。
   At level 25 it also reduces speed
　レベル25でモンスターのスピードを減少させるようになる。
   At level 35 it also reduces max life(but it is never fatal)
　レベル35でモンスターの最大HPを減少させるようになる。（ただしこれでは死なない）
2. Corpse Explosion (Level 10)
　死体爆破（レベル10）
   It makes corpses in an area around you explode for a percent of its hp
   as damage
　術者の周囲の死体を爆破し、そのHPの何パーセントかをダメージにする。
3. Mind Steal (Level 20)
　精神奪取（レベル20）

   It allows your spirit to temporaly leave your own body, which will
   be vulnerable, to control one of your enemies body
　術者の魂が肉体を離れ、敵の体を支配できるようにする。
　魂の離れた体は無防備になる。
   
Each of these spells can be increased in level both by improving your Prayer
skill, and by improving your Spell-power skill.
これらの呪文のレベルは祈祷のスキルと魔法技能のスキルの両方に依存します。

In addition to his specific magic, Melkor will also assist with your ability to
use some magic from the "standard" schools, in relation to how skilled you 
are at Prayer. 
祈祷スキルと関連して、メルコールは他の「標準」の魔法系の使用を補助してくれます。
These schools are as follows:

    Mind School at 1/3 the Prayer skill level.

The spells from these schools are all cast using your normal spellpoints.
