17c
Musketeers are the units that most of players don't use for two reasons. One of
the reasons is the long production speed that it takes to build each unit. All
the 17c muskets need at least 8gt to build them (Exception of Dutch Musketeer) and you can only make two 17c
barracks in the pt30 game (For Turkey, 3~4). This makes the army size smaller
than that of an opponent, which will give them advantage. However, if you
consider the advantage of attacking the enemy from the distance, there should
be a way to use them. So I would figure out haw to use this advantage
effectively in this article.
Well
I would say that it is impossible to use Austrian Musketeer. Why? Because it has high
building time, and its armor isn't effective as Spanish musketeers. Spanish musketeers are quite valuable because it
has the defense against the shot of 5, and has HP of 85, which will make it
stronger against merc dragoons. Personally I like to use Dutch Musketeer or Janissary. Both of them can be produced quite a
lot of numbers (Turkey can build more Barracks), the Dutch Musketeer has the best attacking rate of
all the 17th century musketeers in the game, Janissary has the best attack of all the 17c
Muskets. The Musket with the best HP and the defense is the Spanish musketeers so use those three when you
want to use musketeers.
