1. Apply acpi-patch (acpi-20020404-2.4.18.diff.gz) to the kernel-2.4.18, otherwise IRQ assignmet fails.
2. Modify /etc/pcmcia/config corresponding that the kernel-2.4.18 uses the module orinoco_cs instead of wvlan_cs.
3. Edit /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth?.
4. Restart cardmgr. ("/etc/init.d/pcmcia restart")
  
  A large number of kernel messages "eth0: NULL event in orinoco_interrupt" were annoying me, so I have updated the orinoco module to the latest version 0.11, where the part printing the kernel messages is commented out.
