New Year's Eve in New York
There are many events one can attend in this city. It's called "First Night" and for $10 you get a button, which will give you an access to various activities. First, we went to see a space show at Rose Center for Earth & Space. They had this incredible space show at the planetarium. The best I've ever seen. They give you the perspective of where we are in this universe in 3-D. Then I had dinner at a restaurant "City Grill".

Next activity we went was Wollman Skate Link. Believe or not, I have never skated in my life before. I was able to stand and sort of slide but not by myself. Thanks to the snow fall of the day before Central Park was just breathtakingly beautiful. It was not much of skating but I really enjoyed it. I would like to go back there again. Then we went to St. Bartholomew Church to listen to pipe organ concert. I'm not Christian but I like the holy air that churches tend to hold. They had many candles lit and the crowd seemed to be in a good spirit. I don't know enough to talk about the actual performance but it was good enough to me.

Finally, we went to Intrepid Museum to celebrate the New Year but they closed the front door not let any more people come in. We were planning to see fireworks by the Hudson River so we were very disappointed. Besides, it wasn't very nice to them to shut the doors. Lots of people were outside demanding them to open the door but we just gave up and went back to my apartment. We counted down the last moment of year 2000 and 20th century, while watching the Times Square crowd on my TV.
