■不正交合　malocclusion

原因

• 金網、容器を不必要にかじる
• 歯根炎
• 物理的作用
• カルシウム不足、栄養不良、膿瘍、遺伝的素因、感染、外傷
• Abnormal conformation of the teeth can sometimes occur for congenital reasons
• Older hamsters are prone to teeth that may break easily and teeth that grow crooked

症状

• 不正交合
• 採食不能
• 口から出血

予防

• 原因の排除
• 定期的な検診処置

治療

• やすりで少しずつ削る
• 適度に歯を切断
• ニッパの様なもので少しずつカットする。こまめにカットするのがポイントである。
• 口腔内損傷があれば消毒、バイトリル
• Older hamsters who have trouble eating because of their teeth can be fed soft foods such as bread, scrambled egg, porridge and hamster mix softened in water or milk.

■過長歯

原因

• 歯が磨耗されない
• if one tooth grows crooked or becomes curved the opposite tooth may overggrow.

症状

• 口腔に刺さる、出血や歯肉炎
• 採食不能

予防

• Apple wood and hard dog biscuits will also help the hamster to keep its teeth trim.

治療

• 伸びすぎた歯の定期的な切除。
• can be clipped using a pair of nail clippers but care must be taken to avoid cutting the tongue or cheek.
• To cut the hamster's teeth, hold the hamster by a good scruff of neck forcing the hamster to 'smile' and ensuring that the hamster remains still. Place the nail clippers around the tooth to be cut, ensuring that the blade behind the tooth is pressed firmly against the tooth to ensure the tongue is out of the way and clip.

■頬袋の膿瘍

原因

• 頬袋の細菌感染
• 連鎖球菌、黄色ブドウ球菌

症状

• 腫脹
• よだれ
• 食欲低下

診断

• 注射針による吸引

治療

• 切開、排膿、洗浄、消毒
• 抗生剤投与、バイトリル

■頬袋の脱出

原因

• 異物
• 細菌感染
• 腫瘍

治療

• 元の戻す
• 入り口を１〜２針縫合、１０〜１４日後抜糸
• 壊死があれば切除

■頬袋の腫瘍　

治療

• 切除
• 抗癌剤などを投与
