for the sake of english user. I'm sorry but we can't accept questions
written in English so far , because original writer can't read/write english
well and translator doesn't understand the contents fully.
If you can read/write Japanese , send question written in Japanese(ROMA-JI

Again, PLEASE DON'T SEND QUESTION MAIL IN ENGLISH. WE CAN'T ANSWER.

-------------------------Document begins -------------------

 It mostly works well.

*It seems working well, when I use this 2MB module.
It took more time to display only the application, "Memory" on the list
(It takes 5 seconds to start. But, after install System 1.0.6, it
  just takes 1 second).

*The voltage went like this, Feb.9th 2.95V, 10th 2.87V, 12th 2.85V, 16th 2.79V
*Current
 turn on:19mA
turn off:0.1mA (Because of cheap tester, I think)
I'm expecting to test the working on low voltage battery.

I wrote following article to help your better understanding about this
modification. I am still looking for the safer and easier way to modify.

MAKE SURE FOLLOWING POINTS BEFORE MODIFY
 ĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħĦħ
* I DON'T ENCOURAGE THIS MODIFICATION
* DO IT YOUR OWN RISK AND ON YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
* THIS MODIFICATION CAN BREAK YOUR PILOT. DON'T ASK THE REPARING TO THE
MAKER WITHOUT REPORTING YOUR MODIFICATION (Don't insert normal memory
module before send your pilot to the maker to cover up the modification).

I omit to write about HotSync and removing the batteries

1. Modify the 74AC138

Bend the feet, horizontally with sharp ended miniature pliers. Cutting it
shorter could make its result better.
Fix at free area in U3 with a both-side glued tape.

 2. Modify 1ST FLOOR S-RAM

With a soldering copper, heat up the 22Pin of S-RAM, and then tilt it up
with a needle. Adjust the clearance with tweezers.

3.Wiring - step 1

 I used a sharp 15W soldering copper(made by ANTEX), 0.65mm solder,
liquid flux (avoid from oxidation),flux clear liquid.
I used a wire, covered with anti-heat vinyl. But polyurethane covered
wire would makes good result, because of its thinness.
VCC and GND of 74AC138 were connected to the both ends of unused C4.
B and C of 74AC138 will be used for modification to 4MB and 8MB. This time,
I connect to the GND.
I soldered the feet of IC to the memory module very carefully to avoid
the bad contact when I put into the socket. Then,I checked it as a 1MB RAM
module.

The general circuit is like this.

4.Modify the 2ND FLOOR S-RAM

I took 2 of S-RAM off from another 1MB memory module. Cover up the
module except S-RAM itself, with hot brewed with 1200W industry use dryer.
I could get for S-RAM easily.
Then bend the feet of S-RAM. Make the end of the feet of S-RAM straight
with sharp end miniature pliers. Bend the feet of S-RAM vertically with minus
(not cross) screw driver except 22Pin. Make the 22Pin straight, horizontally
 with pliers.

5.Wiring Step 2

 Put the modified S-RAM on 1ST- FLOOR S-RAM(imagine a double-decker)in the
same direction, solder all feet without 22Pin.
Solder polyurethane covered wire from 22Pin to 74AC138.

That's all. Check the wiring again. Then test it. I made 2 mistakes.

Plese keep this article in your mind when you experiment on memory upgrade.
