The Southern Hemisphere

I was very excited because I'd never been The Southern Hemisphere. I'd heard that when I would collect water with washstands and uncork it, water will flow counterclockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. And water would tast of a cucumber. I wanted to check them. A result is...I was busy and was not able to check them. But I remember that water didn't taste of a cucumber.

Home Stay

I was very uneasy when gathered at Kansai airport. I worried if I would make some friends and enjoy talking with my host-family. But I made my friend with all students in a plane of going. As soon as we arrived at Hamilton, we met host families and went to each houses. The first night I stayed with my Japanese friend in my host house because his host family was out that night. The next day was Sunday and very sunny day, so we went swimming near city centre. It was a greatful day with my host family and we enjoyed it. And then my Japanese friend went to his host family's house. When we said good-bye to him, my host family's children cried. I think they spent with him only one day but it was greatful day for them. That's why they cried.

What a great view!

In the morning, we studied English in Waikato University. After that, we ate lunch there. Everyday my host mother prepared a box for it, so I didn't need to spend my money for lunch. In the afternoon, we had some activities which are shopping, river cruise, playing golf, teniss and horse riding. And we got to each houses about 5pm. One day we had been city centre to go shopping until 6pm ,and when we went to bus stop, I found that the next bus would not come there until 8pm. Unbelievable!! That's why we called our host family to pick us up to city centre. However, I wanted to go to a pub for dinner and a disco. Everyday I ate dinner at 6pm and children went to bed at 8, so I went to bed at 10, too.
There are very beautiful places, which are very similar as Scotland. Of course, people are very kindness, I love there. Oh, yeah, I saw the Southern Cross in the sky but it was very clearn sky and there were so many stars, so I couldn't realized it. The buildings were new and warmer than Scotland.

Maori!
