Travel note in Persia 9, The first drive

The weekend was over on this day. and the guests would not come here any more.

We decided to go out to drive by the car of Sister's husband. Two nephews also came with us.

There were too many cars though the roads were prepared widely in Tehran. Because the roads are the only traffic, it must be moved by the car, the taxi, the bus.

Most of cars were old here, so the exaust was terrible in the town. I can say it was cloudy by the exaust because they have a little rain.

Though I was not refreshed easily by the drive, I was looking forward to going out after some days and seeing this town where I visited for the first time.

The highway was similar to Japanese one. but it had no tollgate. I saw the big mansion, the high-class boutique and the new condominiums.

There were a large park , the office building and so on. The car stopped by the side of the tree-lined street.

My husband entered a store in the front. It was an ice cream shop. He bought five pieces of them.

It tasted rose flower. It smelled very strong of the essence of the rose.

Something like coconuts was sprinkled on that ice. When I ate it, it was soft unlike coconuts. It was very suitable for the rose icecream.

The uptown of Tehran

We went to more mountain side after eating. We went too up to reach the entrance of the climbing.

There was a big man figure which put on a mountain cloths. It pointed at the mountain.

My husband said "Mother calls him a devil."

Because idol worship is prohibited in Islam, it is rare to see a human figure.

When I got off the car, the temperature was lower than the earth, and I felt cold. It was a weekday, so there were a few sightseers.

When we walked along the river a little, a donkey was fastened to the roadside. It was the first time to be so near to see it.

It seemed to be the donkey which put sightseers. We looked for the owner, but we could not find anyone.

We found a Chaikhane (tea shop) after some minutes walk. We had a Chai and left for home.
