Hemorrhagic Septicemia

Local name : Liplang, Pakdol, Pasmo

Cause : Pasteurella multocida

Transmission :
-Ingestion of contaminated feed and water originating from clinically normal carriers or clinical causes and possibly by ticks and biting insects.

Clinical signs and lesions :
-Sudden onset of fever, profuse salivation, inappetence, watery secretions from nostrils breathing recumbency, painful swelling of the throat, dewlap and knee.
-In untreated causes, death may occur in about 24 hours after onset of the disease.

Recommendation :
-Prevent the disease by vaccination.
-In case of an outbreak, beoad spectum antibiotics ,ay be administered.
-In serious case, maybe recommended test and slaughter
