| Sarcosporidiosis |
Cause : Sarcocystis cruzi
|
Transmission :
- Ingestion of uncooked infected meat and sarcocystis
in contaminated pasture
- Shedding of infected sporocysts in the feces
of carnivores.
- Affects human.
|
Clinical signs and lesions :
- Fever
- Inappetence
- Diarrhea
- Mild muscle spasms and hyperexcitability
- Cows in the last trimester of pregnancy may
abort.
|
Recommendations : Dogs and other carnibores should no be
allowed to eat dead animals.
