・板門店はソウルの北方約６０ｋｍにあり、１９５３年に朝鮮戦争の休戦協定が調印された所です。休戦ラインを中心にして、それぞれ南北２ｋｍにわたって設けられた非武装地帯の真ん中にあり、ここに軍事停戦会議場がある。

Panmunjeom is the place where the armistice agreement of the Korean war was signed in 1953, being in about 60 km of the north in Seoul city.
It is at the center of the demilitalized zone which was set up respectively over 2 km of north and south mainly in the armistice line and here is a military cease-fire conference room.

[板門店ツアーの注意事項]	[Please Note]
・コースの所要時間は往復約7時間です。	The tour takes about 7 hours with lunch & briefing included.
・パスポートを必ず持参して下さい。	You must carry your Passport on tour day.
・満１０歳未満の子供はツアーに参加できません	Under 10 year-old is not allowed.
・服務規程作業服、ジーンズ、サンダル、半ズボン、ミニスカート、袖なし、派手な服、軍服スタイル、身体に密着する服や端正でないヘアースタイルは不可。	The work clothes, the jeans, the sandal, the short pants, the miniskirt, the sleeveless and showy clothes, the regimental style, the hairstyle are impossible.
・前日に必ず電話で予約を確認すること。	Please confirm one day before tour depature.
・会議場内では共産側の施設や器物、特にマイクや旗などに触れないこと。	Any equipment,microphone or flags belonging to the communist side in the MAC conference room are NOT TO BE TOUCHED.
・板門店では共産側の人たちに如何なる行動（対話や手を振る行為）は一切禁じられている。	Don't speak with,make any gesture toward or in any way approach or respond to personnel from the other side.

　統一展望台 / Mt. Odu unification Observatory

・ソウル市内から漢江（ハンガン）に沿って北に走って行くと統一展望台がある。ここはソウルから流れてくる漢江（カンガン）と北朝鮮から流れてくる臨津河（イムジンガワ）が合流する地点で、海抜１１８ｍの高台にある展望台からは対岸に北朝鮮の開城直轄市の村を見ることができる。
望遠鏡を覗くと、北朝鮮の農家や農民が農作業をしている様子が手に取るようにわかり、対岸までの距離は長い所で３．２ｋｍ、短い所ではわずか４００ｍしか離れていない。
ここには統一展示室があり、北朝鮮の軍事、衣・食・住、教育などの関係資料が展示されている。また、川の流れや地形を立体的に模型化した案内図があり国境線などが地理的によくわかる。

There is an Unification observatory when from Seoul city along Hang river to the north. This place is the spot which Imujing river to flow through from Hang river and North Korea to flow through from Seoul joins. 　The village in North Korea can be seen on the opposite shore from the observatory which is in the hill of 118m sea level.
When seeing with the telescope, it understands the situation that the farmhouse and the farmar in North Korea are doing farming clearly. The distance to the opposite shore short leaves about only 400m and long leaves about 3.2km.
Here is a diplay room and various material in North Korea. Then,there is a solid model and it understands a borderline and so on well.　

統一展望台を後にして、再びバスで板門店へと向かう。川岸に張られた鉄条網のフェンスがどこまでも続き、武装した警備兵が目に付く。
バスはかなり大きな橋（統一大橋）の手前で停まり、全員のパスポートチェックがある。それが済むとバスは橋を渡って、非武装地帯の中にある国連軍基地へと進む。途中で観光バスからＪＳＡ（共同警備区域）専用のバスに乗り換えなくてはならない。
基地内の食堂で昼食をとって説明をうけた後、全員にゲストの名札が配ら、”誓約書”にサインをさせられる。
「これから生ずる不測の事態に関しては、国連軍および韓国軍は一切責任を負わない」ということを誓約させられることになる。

It heads for Panmunjeom again by bus from the unification observatory. The fence of the entanglement which was set up to the riverside continues even in where and the armed guard aoldier is noticeable.
The bus stops in front of the big bridge(unification bridge) and has the passport check all the members. When the passport check finishes, the bus crosses a bridge and advances fowards th UN force base which is in the DMZ(Demilitalized Zone).
On the way,we must transfer from the sightseeing bus to the special bus of the JSA(Joint Security Area).
We eat lunch at the dining hall in the base. After seeing a slide after it and receiving an explanation, the name tag of the guest was distributed to all the members and was made to sign on the written oath. The contents are as follows.
"As for the situation of the unexpectedness which occurs from now, the UN forces and the Korean army don't bear responsibility absolutely."

国連軍基地から装甲車に先導されたバスに乗って、ＪＳＡ（共同警備区域）内にある板門店に向かう。要所々々に武装した警備兵の姿が目につき緊張感が増す。
自由の家の前でバスを降り、ガイドに先導されて軍事停戦委員会議場まで案内される。平屋建ての簡素な建物だが南北会談が開かれたあの見覚えのある施設だ。青い建物と灰色の建物合わせて五棟。青い建物は国連軍が灰色の建物は北朝鮮が管理しているそうだ。それらの建物の向かい一段高い所に北朝鮮の主要な建物である板門閣がこちらを見下ろすように建っている。
青い建物の軍事停戦委員会議場の一つに案内されて入っていく。部屋の真ん中にメインのテーブルと椅子がセットされており、そのテーブルの真ん中が南北を隔てる軍事境界線になるという。部屋の中には二人の警備兵が不動の姿勢で警備している。一人は部屋の中央で軍事境界線を跨ぎ、他の一人は北側の出入り口を固めている。
この部屋の中では自由に写真を撮っても良いことになっており、ゲストたちは警備兵と一緒になって記念写真を写している。部屋の窓から外の警備兵の姿をカメラにおさめる。警備兵は建物から半身だけしか身体を出していない。緊急の場合、建物が身を守る遮蔽物の役をするのだそうだ。

It takes a bus which was led by the armed car from the UN force base and it heads for the Panmunjeom which in JSA(Joint Security Area). There is an appearance of the guard soldier who was armed to the places and the tension increases.
It gets off the bus in front of the Freedom House,and we are led by the guide and it is guided to the Conference Room(military cease-fire committee). It is five all together at the houses of the blue house and the gray.
The UN forces are controlling a blue house and North Korea is controlling a gray house.
It is built as Panmun Kaku which is the main building where the opposite step of those houses is high overlooks here.
Setting at the center of the room in the main table and the chair when entering one of the Conference Room at the blue house. There is a MDL(Military Demarcation Line) where the center of the table divides north and south. In the room, two guard soldiers are guarding in the immovable posture. As for one,it strides a MDL at the center of the room and the other one is firming a doorway on the northern side. In this room, it may take a picture freely,and the guests become with the guard soldier and take a commemoration pictue.
When seeing outside a guard soldier from the window at the room as for the guard soldier only the half the body is letting out a body from the house. When urgent,it is to defend a body at the house.

板門店には訪問者用の展望台があり、そこから目の前に北朝鮮のプロパガンダが目的の宣伝村がよく見えるが人影は見当たらない。ひときわ高い掲揚台には北朝鮮の国旗が風に揺れていた。
掲揚塔の高さが１６０ｍというから北朝鮮の国旗もやたら大きなサイズで長辺が３０ｍもあり旗もかなり重いようだ。
すぐ手前に小さな橋が見える。一度渡ると二度と戻ることができないので「帰らざる橋」というのだそうだ。その橋のすぐ近くに空き地があり、ポプラ事件の記念碑が建っている。
１９７６年８月、国連軍兵士がポプラの木を伐採しようとしていたとき、これを妨害しようとした北朝鮮の警備兵が二人の国連軍将校を斧で殺害した事件が起こった。いわゆる「ポプラ事件」があったところだ。それまでは、共同警備区域（ＪＳＡ）内には南北両軍の兵士が自由に入ることができたが、それ以後この事件がきっかけになって入れなくなったという。ここ板門店は国連軍の管轄になるが、別名キャンプ・ボニファスともいうのはこの事件で犠牲になったボニファス大尉を追悼するために付けられたのだ。

There is an observatory for the visitor in Panmunjeom and the propaganda village in North Korea can be seen from here. However, a person isn't found. The national flag in North Korea was shaking to the wind to extremely high hoist Paul.
The height of hoist Paul is 160m and the national flag of North Korea is quite heavy at the big size that the long side is 30m.
We can see a small bridge. Saying that it says "The bridge of no return"because it is possible to return never if crossing a bridge. There was vacant land just near the bridge and the monument of the poplar case was built.
August,1976,the UN force soldier tried to fell the free of the poplar. The case that two UN force officers were killed with the ax by the guard soldier in North korea which tried to interfere with this happened. This case is called "The poplar case".
The soldier in northern and southern both sides can be have entered it freely into Joint Security Area(JSA). However,the soldier in northern and southern both sides became that it wasn't possible to enter freely in JSA this after case.
Here,Panmunjeom is the control of the UN forces. This base is called camp Bonifas. It was put to mourn the Cap.Bonifas who was made sacrifice by this case.
