The lovery, charming giant pandas who give us the peaceful mind are very popular all over the world. Born in China, several pandas are sent to foreign zoo as a big gift, and some of them had a birth in the place they live now. However, recently, they are facing a danger of annihilation due to the lack of their main food, banboo. Unfortunately, it is said that there are only 1000~1200 giant pandas left in the whole world now. If this condition continued, the next generation may not be able to see the lovely panda any more. How sad it is! The World Wide Fund (WWF) have been tried to save panda's lives with the aim of Chinese government since 1980's, and done several programs to make an attention to people and gather the funds to save pandas. The funds has been collected by the efforts of indiviudales and groups. Everyone can join some program in many ways. Our little help can result in helping panda for living tomorrow. We want to show panda in next generation, and I wish if you could help by trying small efforts.I appreciate if you could have an interest to take part in the program in some way for helping pandas.
What can you do to save Panda?
First of all, I would like to explain what kind of activities the WWF is doing. The WWF was establish 40 years ago, and has actively worked for protecting the environment. The scale of activities extend to the worldwide and the groups of each country try to keep and make better environment for future generation.Pand is not only the one who is facing the danger of the annihilation, but also a lot of animals such as tigars, elephants. To know better about the current condition of the world is the first step of considering environment problems.Let try to cooperate each other to make a better world for our future.
Here are the information of Panda who live in the United States & Japan. Currently there are 19 pandas in foreign countries except China, which are Japan 7, the US 7, Mexico 3, and Germany 2.
