About Bali

Bali Island is one island in the Indian Ocean in the Republic of Indonesia, and a size is 2 5.532km. A formal name is the Republic of Indonesia bali state. There are the rainy season and the dry season through every year on the island of everlasting summer.

Bali's Religions           

The center of the religion of a bali is "Balinese Hinduism" and has rooted in the life of people firmly. It is supposed that the Java Hindu influenced of the India culture goes into Bali Island from the first. Now, the Hinduism also of vigor is lost and it mainly believes in it only in Bali Island in Indonesia. And it is called a religion unique to Bali Islandand "Balinese Hinduism." But, the caste system which is the special feature of Hinduism also remains now. However, like India, there is no not accepting the marriage of those other than this caste, and marriage of different caste is also accepted once. Moreover, if magic is believed and people have a trouble, it will go to the BALIAN (Magic teacher). As for BARIAN, Black Magic and White Magic are also applied, and BALIAN is special existence for people of a Bali. There are Muslim and Christian minorities in Bali's towns and coastal areas and a smaller number of Buddhists.

Local currency

The Indonesian currency unit is the Rupiah. In early 2000, it was valued at around Rp7,500 to the $1(us) and early 2002, it was Rp10,100. A meal at a local food stall costing about Rp5,000. Current import and export limit is Rp50,000,000 per person.

 

Money Exchange

There are exchange offices additional to banks, hotel, and a town in exchange. Exchange facilities are widely available in major tourist areas in Bali. The signboard of the rate display of a money changer to the everywhere of a town can be seen. It is hard to say that all places are merely conscientious. The point of taking care in the money changer of a town is deception of a bill. A frame fewer than original may be passed.
