Your noble desision to sponsor the child will helps will help us take new programs and expand the existing ones for the quick
sosio-economic emansipation of the community where your Spnsored Chils lives.

You might have already known from the Fmily Profile and the Community Profile sent to you before that your child's community needs
immediate and the highest attention to the fields of education, health and family economic security. ++++ Programu Unit has already
taken a number of programs to address the above needs. Tha major health programs already taken in your child's community are
training to the health volunteers and the health workers. Health awareness messages are constantly being given to the people to make
them health consious. In order to prevent water borne diseases ++++ Program Unit is sinking tubewells and distributing water sealed
latrines among the poor families. More health support programs will ome up next year. In learning program a number of interventions
have already been initiated like early chldhood development, community learning assistance program for the slow learners, adult
literacy program, construction of scool building, training to the school teacheres, supply of education and sports materials to the
schools, etc. Plan Bangladesh believes that without ensuring economix security for the poor families, development in other domains will
not be meaningful and sustainable. With this end in view, ++++ Program Unit has already started providing training to the males and
females on vegetable gardening and other sectors of agriculture as per community needs. A credit and saving program will be in place
in future so that people may invest money in some income generating projects. These programs have started making tremendous
positive impact upon your child's community.

Plan Bangladesh has been pursuing a program strategy of community development with special focus on the Sponsored Families. We
are now putting more importance on sustainable overall development rather than on individual direct benefits. We strongly belive that
unless the situation of the whole community is up-graded, mere charity to the individual family will not bring about real development.

Now we would like to let you know that in Bangladesh we have to face a lot of challenges. Communications here are not very well,
postal services are not properly efficient, customs department is not very reliable, and road linkage in rural areas is still deplorable
particularly during rainy reason. All the above factors may be a big bottleneck for the smooth and timely communication between the
child and you. But our team can ensure that once your communication received at the field will be delivered to your child as soon as
pssible within our jurisdiction of work, Your communications will first reach to Plan Office along with other Sponsor's communication,
then following sorting those and sent to Bangladesh to the address of Country Office whre it once again sorted,translated and
distributed to respective child, Occasionally, letters and gifts are pilfered in customs checking if they appear valuable, and sometimes
they are simply lost. But we can assure you that if we receive your letters and gifts, we must respond to them within 30 days of Plan
Bangladesh receving them. The reply will then take time for it to be sent to your county and forwarded to you by your Plan Office. If
you find any abnormal delay in receiving response to your letters and gifts, say 6 months or more; please do not hesitate to contact the
Plan Office where you live. But our continuous effort to make you happy will never come to an end.

You are requested to please keep frequent communications with your child through letters and small gifts so that you may get closer to
each other and know each other more deeply. Bangladesh Children like small gifts such as dolls, football, shoolbag, color crayon,
education kits, etc. They will also love to receive your family photo, pictures of nice places of your country. Your child's family will also
love to know about your country, weather,important places and your family.

We shall keep you infomed about the progress to be taking place around your child and the family from time to time.

開発が意義を持ち継続可能になることはないと確信しています。貯蓄・信用貸し付け活動は将来、人々が収入増加プロジェクトに投資するようになってゆくようになるでしょう。
これらのプログラムは、FCが暮らすコミュニティに大きなプラスの影響を与え始めています。

FPバングラデシュは、フォスター･ファミリーを中心に捉えたコミュニティ開発という活動方法をとってきました。現在では、各個人の利益より、継続的な全体の
開発という点に重きを置いています。コミュニティ全体の状況が改善されない限り、各ファミリーに対する小さな援助では、彼らの生活に真の意味での変化を

さて、バングラディ主では多くの問題に直面しなければならないことをお伝えしたいと思います。ダッカの活動地区における一番大きな問題は土地所有です。
FCの住む地域は政府の土地であるため、立ち退きを命ぜられることもしばしばあります。ここに住む人々は1箇所に定住するより、より良い仕事のあるところへ
移動することが多いのです。ですから、このスラムからも移転する可能性はあります。スラムから転出し3ヶ月経っても戻らないことが確認された場合には、
FCとしての登録を終了することもあります。当地では通信事情が良くありません。郵便サービスは効率が悪く、税関はあまり信用できません。これらがFCとFP間の
円滑でタイミングの良い通信を行うための障害となっています。しかしながら私たちは、あなたからのお手紙が届きましたら活動地域にいるFCのもとへ出来るだけ早く
届けることをお約束します。あなたのお手紙はまずあなたの国のFP事務局に他のFPのお手紙と共に到着します。次にまとめてバングラディシュ統括事務所に
送られます。そこで分類され、翻訳されてから、各FCを担当する現地事務所に配られます。ときにはFPからのお手紙やプレゼントが高価そうに見えるために
税関検査時に盗まれたり、単純に郵送途上の紛失ということもあります。とは言うものの、あなたかのお手紙やプレゼントが届いたら、30日以内にお返事を

Ummeちゃんから初めての手紙vと喜んだのですが、送信者はFP現地事務所所長さんでした（笑
そうか。。。通信事情がよくないのか。。。　しかも税関検査で盗まれるコトも！？　う〜ん。。。これに対する解決策は「とにかく頻繁に手紙を出す」ね。
それでも政府による立ち退きがあるなんて。。。　また一つ勉強になりました。
先日の竜巻といい、日本に住んでいたら決して目を向けなかったであろう、「異なる国での現実」を知ることができました。
この手紙がワタシの元に届くまで約1.5ヶ月ですか。。。
